Chag Sukkot Sameach!

Kol Ami invites you to join us at our 2nd annual Chag-fest this Saturday, October 19th at 10:30 a.m.  What is Chag-fest?  It is a combined celebration and observance of Shabbat, Sukkot, Simchat Torah and Shemini Atzeret all wrapped into one!  We will have singing, davening, Torah learning, Israeli dancing and, of course, a Sukkah with a lulav and etrog!  There will be an expanded oneg at the conclusion of Chag-fest.  All are welcomed to join us for this event.  Our modified service will be led by Steve Carter, Bonnie Austin, Beth DeRicco, and we are delighted to introduce Rabbi David Weissman at this event as a new participant.

About Rabbi David Weissman:  Rabbi David recently moved back to South Florida after serving as rabbi and cantor for Temple Shalom of Myrtle Beach, SC (Reform) for 11 years.  Prior to moving to Myrtle Beach, Rabbi David was at The Village Reform Congregation of Pembroke Pines from 2001-2008, Jewish Center of the Moriches (Conservative) on Long Island from 1988-2001 and at Congregation B’nai Tikvah of North Brunswick, NJ (Conservative) from 1983-1988.  He also served for 31 years in the New York City school system, first as a high school social studies teacher and then as a high school assistant principal.  Kol Ami is delighted to welcome Rabbi David into our community.  He will be helping with Shabbat morning Shacharit and Torah services in combination with our lay leadership.  Please come out to meet Rabbi David and his wife, Mary, at Chag-fest this Saturday morning!
All activities are held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton at
2601 St. Andrews Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33434 (unless otherwise indicated).
